The workshop sessions will occur on the University of Denver campus, near I-25 and University Ave, in Denver, CO 80208. The campus can be reached by public transportation, ride-share, or rental car from the Denver International Airport, a major hub for multiple airlines.
We have arranged discounted rooms at the Courtyard Marriot Denver, Cherry Creek. This is the closest hotel to the campus. If you have not yet booked a room and need a discount code, please contact the conference organizers. The Courtyard is located at 1475 S Colorado Blvd, Denver, CO 80222. This is a mostly flat 40-50 min walk or short ride share to campus. Recommended walking routes appear below (the simplest route via Florida Ave, St. Paul, and Iliff is on largely quiet residential roads).
Oral sessions will be held in DU's Ritchie School for Engineering and Computer Science building, at: University of Denver, 2155 E Wesley Ave, Denver, CO 80210
This space on the 4th floor of the ECS building has a composite video monitor display with HDMI inputs for slide presentation.
The Tuesday afternoon Poster Session will occur upstairs from the oral session room in ECS 500, the fifth floor rotunda.
Wednesday afternoon, we plan to travel (~45 min) to Evergreen CO for hiking and high altitude scenery near Evergreen Lake. There will be options for short and easy or somewhat longer hikes, as well as several nearby restaurants or bars.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Evergreen Lake is 2,150 m (7,054 ft) above sea level. The summer weather at this altitude is highly variable. It is wise to plan for both strong sun and possible precipitation and cool temperatures. Be strongly recommend bringing sunscreen, hat, ample water, waterproof jacket, and appropriate footwear!
After hiking, we plan to travel to Denver's Lower Downtown (LoDo) for our conference banquet, at Wynkoop Brewing. The Wynkoop is a Colorado landmark both for its contributions to craft brewing and to the conversion of a 19th century warehouse that sparked a new chapter for downtown Denver. We will then return to the DU campus neighborhood.
We thank our sponsors for the generous support of these activities!
